A couple of days ago Jenny & Will drove all the way down from Boone, NC to to an engagement session here in Fountain Inn. As soon as we started the session we saw that thunderstorm clouds were all around us! Luckily these two were brave and we got our session in before it rained.
Earlier in the Spring I met with Hayley and Patrick in Clemson for their engagement session. They both went to school at Clemson, so the university had a lot of special meaning to both of them.
I love when people come to Fountain Inn to do their engagement sessions! For starters, I get to walk out the front door of my office, and just start shooting! Also, the textures in our little town are awesome! The brick backgrounds, the RR tracks, it’s really a perfect place to shoot an engagement session!
We are finally catching up to 2010 portrait sessions and weddings! It has taken a while, but we hope to be totally caught up by June 1st.
Back in January we had the pleasure of driving up to Belmont, NC to photograph Amanda and Steve’s engagement session. Belmont, NC is always such a neat place to shoot an engagement session. You have parks, pretty sidewalks, neat stores, and then of course the trains.
Last August I met up with Sara & Johnathan at Furman University for their engagement session. This was the first time I had ever met Sara and Johnathan. They booked us through email since they live down in Charleston and couldn’t get up here for a meeting. It’s always such a joy meeting clients for the first time! Sara and Johnathan were a ton of fun work with!
On to the pictures!

In July I met up with Lauren and Clark a Clemson University to photograph their engagement session. Both Lauren and Clark are both Clemson grads, so Clemson was a perfect place for the session.
We started out shooting around Tillman Hall, then worked our way over to the SC Botanical Gardens.
Last August, on the hottest day of the year, I traveled down to Columbia to shoot Vanessa & Ben’s engagement session. We started out the session at Finley Park, and ended it at the South Carolina State House.
Did I mention it was the hottest day of the year? Haha! By the time we all walked across the grass to get to the place where we were going to start shooting at Finley Park we were all already drenched! It was just so hot. We took a few there, then moved on to the SC State House. Thankfully, the humidity wasn’t as bad there.
Vanessa and Ben were troopers. I thought that they would call it a day because of the heat, but they wanted to continue to shoot even though they were both soaked through! By the end of the session Vanessa’s hair was so wet it looked like she had dunked her hair in a pool! Thankfully Vanessa is beautiful enough to rock the wet hair though.
In May Kyle and Kristen came down to our Fountain Inn studio for their engagement session. I am so blessed to be able to walk right out of my office and have such really cool places to shoot!
We photographed Kyle and Kristen walking around Fountain Inn. Fountain Inn is changing so fast right now, that in just a few years you won’t even be able to recognize where we took the pictures!
On Saturday I traveled down to Newberry, SC to hang out with Megan and Lou and shoot their engagement session. I love shooting in small towns with all the nuances and quaint places to shoot. I just love cool backgrounds and textures.
I had never walked around Newberry during the day like this before. It was so much fun. Newberry is such a cute little town, and I never knew what I was gonna find going around the next corner.
Megan and Lou were lots of fun to hang out with. On to the pictures!

Last month I met Christan and Patrick early one morning to do their engagement session. It was about 30 degrees as we were making these pictures.
Even though it was very cold they were really troopers.
Here’s the pics!
Check back on Wednesday for their wedding pictures! And be sure to check back tomorrow for another engagement session!
