Interview with Greenville photographer Jason Tench of Blue Mountain Photo Works
I actually started out as a TV news photographer if you can believe that. After spending a couple of years in TV news I decided that it wasn’t for me. I took up landscape photography, then people photography.
One day in 2004 a friend asked me to be the wedding photographer for one of their relatives. So my wife Stacy and I went and photographed the wedding and fell in love with it. Since then we’ve shot nearly 200 weddings together with Stacy assisting me with almost all of them. We love them just as much now as we did when we first started 9 years ago.
A wedding day can be very stressful. We have worked very hard and for many years to develop the skills to learn how remain calm under pressure, and how to help put others at ease on their wedding day.
That’s a very good question! You absolutely can’t afford to NOT hire a professional wedding photographer. Your wedding photos are some of the most important photos that you’ll ever have in your life, and should be left in the hands of a professional with many years of experience, high grade equipment, and the know-how to deal with any almost any situation or encounter that could arise. As they always say, and is definitely the case with wedding photography, you get what you pay for.
Our regular wedding package prices start at $3500.00. We can also custom make a package to fit into most people’s budgets. To help you afford the wedding photography that you deserve, we schedule a payment plan when you book. We require $1000.00 down to reserve your wedding day, and the balance isn’t due until 14 days before the wedding. We can also arrange other payment plans specifically for your needs.
Our couples desire photography that isn’t cookie cutter or standard. They love the unobtrusive way that we approach the wedding day. Most of our couples are looking for a photographer with a modern style. Our couples usually have an eye for fine details, and the details matter a lot!
Do you have backup equipment?
Absolutely! In many cases, we have backups of our backups! We have backup equipment for anything that could fail on your wedding day. Cameras, lenses, flashes, batteries and anything else you can think of. If something went bad on your wedding day, you’re likely to never even know it happened! We realize your wedding is a once in a lifetime event, and we take that very seriously.
Yes we do! This should give you peace of mind that we’re covered if anything was to happen. We’ve never had to use it for anything, but it’s there for peace of mind.
Do you take more than one wedding per day?
Nope. When you hire us, we block off the entire day for your wedding. Your wedding is too special and important for us to try to fit any other weddings in on your wedding day.
This sounds like everything we’ve been looking for! What happens next if I want to book you?
The next step is filling out our contact sheet at the bottom of this page to set up your complimentary consultation. We can meet with you in person or chat by phone. We’ll be happy to walk you through our wedding packages, or customize your very own wedding package to fit your needs. We do all of our booking online! There’s no need for you to mail things back and forth. We want to make the booking process as easy as possible for you.
Yes, in fact, we highly encourage you call us or email with any other questions that you have. We feel it’s very important to get all of your questions out of the way, and to make sure we’re a great fit for one another. Please contact us to discuss your needs!
